MAYA Academy – Summer Festival

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions govern all registrations, enrolments, and participation in the MAYA Academy Summer Festival (the “Festival”).

By registering or completing an online booking, participants (or their legal guardians) accept these Terms & Conditions.

Operator
MAYA Music Academy is operated by Evgenia Pilyavina, Switzerland, UID CHE-491.281.119.


2. Services

MAYA Academy organizes an intensive Summer Festival for young musicians, including:

  • Individual lessons
  • Chamber music coaching
  • Rehearsals and concerts
  • Artistic and educational activities

The Festival takes place over a defined period as published on the official website.

MAYA Academy reserves the right to make reasonable changes to faculty, schedule, program, or venue if necessary.


3. Registration & Contract Formation

Registration is binding once:

  • The online application or booking is completed, and
  • Participation is confirmed by MAYA Academy, and/or
  • Payment (full or partial, if applicable) is received

For minors, registration must be completed by a legal guardian.

A contract is formed upon written confirmation of participation or receipt of payment.


4. Fees & Payment

All fees are stated in CHF (or as otherwise specified).

Payment conditions:

  • A deposit may be required to secure participation
  • The remaining balance must be paid within the stated deadline
  • Payments are processed via available online payment providers

Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation of participation.


5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Participant cancellation:

  • Cancellation conditions (refund / partial refund / no refund) are defined at the time of booking
  • Deposits are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated

Cancellation by MAYA Academy:

  • If the Festival is cancelled, all payments will be refunded
  • No further compensation (e.g. travel costs) is provided

6. Health & Fitness

Participation requires adequate physical and mental condition.

Participants (or guardians) confirm that:

  • The participant is fit to attend
  • Relevant medical conditions are disclosed in advance
  • The Academy is informed of any issues affecting participation

MAYA Academy does not provide medical supervision.

Participation is at the participant’s own risk.


7. Insurance

Participants are responsible for their own:

  • Health insurance
  • Accident insurance
  • Travel insurance (if applicable)

MAYA Academy does not provide personal insurance coverage.


8. Liability

MAYA Academy is liable only for damages caused by:

  • Intentional misconduct
  • Gross negligence

To the extent permitted by Swiss law, liability for slight negligence is excluded.

MAYA Academy is not liable for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings
  • Travel disruptions or external costs
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory liability under Swiss law.


9. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control (including but not limited to government restrictions, natural events, or force majeure), the Festival may be:

  • Modified
  • Rescheduled
  • Cancelled

In such cases, MAYA Academy will act reasonably but cannot guarantee full reimbursement beyond received fees.


10. Media & Photography

Photos and videos may be taken during the Festival for documentation and promotional purposes.

Participants (or guardians) may object in writing prior to the start of the Festival.


11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed exclusively by Swiss law.

Place of jurisdiction is Geneva, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
